How to Order

 

Placing an Order

Placing an order could not be easier

You can place an order by, phone, email, fax, post or in our online store through Sagepay.

Just browse our catalogue, click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart.  After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" in the left hand column and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy your order.

If any of our items are not in stock, we will call you immediately and inform you of availability of the item.

If you wish to place an order over the telephone, click on the 'CALL ME' button or email us at sales@brownsladders.co.uk with details of what your want to purchase and your telephone number and we will ring you back.

We will need to receive orders for 'Next Working Day' delivery by 11.30am, any orders placed after that time will not be despatched until the following working day.   Any orders placed on Friday before 11.30am will despatched that day for delivery on Monday. Saturday and Sunday orders will not be despatched until Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

We accept all major credit/debit cards (except AMEX), or alternatively we can fax you a pro-forma invoice and you can send us a cheque through the post.  Goods will be despatched upon receipt of cheque.

Please ensure that you have checked all the sizes and information given before ordering as we cannot accept responsibility for incorrect ordered goods. 


Christmas Deliveries

Our last day for orders that offer Overnight Delivery is Tuesday 22nd December before 11.30am. Any orders placed after this date will not be despatched until Monday 4th of January 2010. Last day for placing orders for 3 day delivery is Friday 19th December 2009 before 11.30am.

Please note we only ship to UK addresses. Most items ordered from Mainland England  and Wales are Carriage Free. For Orders from Other UK areas please contact for quote.

Delivery Schedule

Delivery is dependant on each particular product - Please check product details for further information.
Orders for ex stock items received before 11.30am (Mon - Fri) will normally be despatched the same day (unless it is stated otherwise on the product)
Optional up grades are available please ring for quotation.

Any deliveries to Northern Scotland, Northern Ireland & UK Islands, Scottish Islands, and Channel Islands & IOM may take longer than specified

It is YOUR responsibility to check the goods before accepting delivery.
If you are dissatisfied, or you are in any doubt as to the condition of the goods, you MUST write the word - DAMAGED - on the Driver's note. Failure to do so Browns Ladders Ltd or our Courier cannot be held liable for damaged goods!


Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be contacted with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait

Tax Charges

17.5% VAT is included on all orders.


Credit Card Security

All credit card payments are made via Sagepay and are therefore secure we do not hold any credit card details.


Guarantee

All our products come with a 12 month manufacturers warranty.  Some products carry even longer guarantees as stated.  Should any product develop a defect within the terms of this guarantee the faulty products will be exchanged or repaired free of charge.  The faulty product should be returned to our premises together with the sales invoice issued at the time of purchase.  This guarantee does not cover damage caused through accident, mis-use, neglect or failure to comply with recommendations.  The terms of this guarantee do not and will not affect your statutory rights.

The fitting of spikes to any ladder invalidates all warranties.

Browns Ladders do not disclose buyers' information to third parties.  Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option.Data collected by this site is used to:
    a. Take and fulfill customer orders
    b. Administer and enhance the site and service
    c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
                d. We do not send random marketing emails to personal email addresses (spam).
                e. Browns Ladders conform to the requirements of the Data Protection Act, 1998.


Returns Policy

Products may be returned provided that the goods are returned unused and undamaged in their original packaging fit for re-sale.  The customer should inspect the Goods immediately upon receipt and notify Browns Ladders Ltd within 30 days of delivery if the Goods are damaged or do not comply with any of the Contract. If the customer fails to do so the customer shall be deemed to have accepted the Goods.  
It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange for safe return of goods and assume costs of such. If the customer requests Browns Ladders Ltd to arrange the collection, the customer will be refunded minus the cost for returning the goods. Refunds will only be issued after the goods are returned and verified fit for re-sale.  If charges have been made for outward carriage these will also be deducted from any refund.  Any bespoke or made to order goods are non-returnable.  Where we design a product to your own specification the Right to cancel will not apply. In the unlikely event of Browns Ladders despatching incorrect goods the order will be amended immediately at Browns Ladders expense, or if the customer prefers a full refund will be given once our carriers have returned the goods to our premises.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a customer.
