Ladder Inspections

On Site Ladder & Equipment Inspections

Browns Ladders can offer On Site Ladder Inspections nationwide that can be carried out at 3, 4 or 6 monthly intervals.

The Health and Safety Executive has stated:

“As part of the regulations, duty holders must ensure.”

  • All work at height is properly planned and organised
  • Those involved in work at height are competent.
  • Equipment for work at height is properly inspected and maintained

Our invaluable on-site Health & Safety checks cover the inspection of all access equipment within the factory site, from general ladders and steps to machine stairways, tower scaffold and work platforms. Browns Ladders will come on site and make sure that all access equipment is inspected, tagged, coded, dated and registered, should any item be found to be faulty at your request we can repair or replace with the least amount of interruption to work as possible.

Every product that we inspect will have a 'Next Inspection Date' on them, so that you are informed well in advance of when your next visit will be.  Our Team will contact you via email or fax 2-3 weeks before the next inspection is due, as a reminder that we will be coming on site.   If you have any problems or need an item inspecting between your scheduled visits, we will be more than happy to call in and help with your query.

If all your items are in one location, we can carry out inspections on up to 50 items in one day. If items are scattered around the location the ladder inspection may take longer.

We can take care of this for you as we do for many companies like John Smiths Brewery, Johnson & Johnson Medical, Walkers Snack Foods, Allied Bakeries, Boundary Mill Stores, Chubb Fire & Electrical, Marshalls Stone Quarries to name but a few.

We also work closely with various Health Authorities, Constabularies, Councils & Schools throughout the country.

We have been offering the ladder inspection service since 1997 and now have a highly trained, professional, and efficient staff who can carry out most repairs on site or if required can have most items replaced within 48hrs.
The ladder inspections will depend upon the frequency of use of the equipment:

  • It is recommended by B.L.A. (British Ladder Association) that ladders which are subject to frequent use (on a daily basis) require inspections at least once every 3 months.

  • A ladder that is subject to occasional use (on a weekly basis) requires inspections at least once every 6 months.

This is of course is over and above personal inspections when using the equipment.

You don’t have to have lots of employees to have accidents it only takes ONE.

Make sure its not one of your employees using a badly maintained piece of equipment or not having the knowledge of how to use the equipment correctly.

Have your equipment checked and your staff trained.

DON’T RISK IT, IT’S NOT WORTH IT!
