Working At Heights Training Course

The work at height regulations apply to all work at height where these is a risk of fall liable to cause personal injury. The regulations bring together all existing work at height regulation and state the minimum health and safety requirements for the use of equipment for work at height. Employers have a duty to ensure that work at a height is properly planned, appropriately supervised and carried out in a manner that is safe.
Course Agenda:
By the end of the working at heights training programme all course members should have:
- Introduction
- Health & Safety, Current Legislation & regulations
- Ability to identify hazards and possible accidents in height work
- Fall Arrest / Restraint equipment
- Access & Egress
- Risk Assessment & Safety Inspections
- Theory Assessment
- Question & Answer Session
Who Is This Course For:
Employers, the self-employed, and any person that controls the work of others (for example facilities managers or building owners who may contract others to work at height) need to be fully up-to-date with the legislation.
Intended Learning Objectives:
To give candidates the underpinning knowledge of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and other relevant health and safety law. An overview of risk assessment relating to working at heights.
Course Duration: 1/2 Day.
Delegate Numbers: Min 6 - Max 10.
Method: Lecture, practical and theory assessment.
PPE Required: Protective footwear, suitable clothing & gloves for practical session.
Delegate Experience: All delegates MUST be physically fit and able to carry out any practical session during the Training Course.
Refreshments: Tea/Coffee.
Venue Requirements: Lecture Room or similar with Table and Chairs, provision to use Power Point, various Ladders & Steps Ladders plus suitable safe area for practical session.
