Browns Ladders is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of Access Equipment, from Ladders & Steps, to Work Platforms & Scaffolding.
In 2017, we are celebrating 20 years of carrying out on site Ladder & Access Equipment Inspections nationwide and we are looking for a reliable & enthusiastic person to join our Inspections team.
Duties of our Access Equipment Inspector will include:
Travelling to customers sites nationwide to carry out detailed inspections of their Access Equipment. This will involve searching and locating equipment on site, checking the equipment to make sure it is safe and documenting your findings on our PDA system.
To carry out Repairs where necessary.
To update all the relevant paperwork, findings & documents for our Office staff.
Liaise with contacts on site, advising them on the correct equipment to use
Additional information about the Access Equipment Inspector role:
Work will be carried out both indoors & outdoors.
The applicant must also be able to work at heights.
Frequent overnight stays will be required.
The successful applicant must be health and safety conscious, have a full clean driving licence and be able to work on their own initiative.
Full training will be given, there are some training courses to attend but the applicant must be proficient in use of hand tools and an engineering background would be a distinct advantage.
This will be a permanent staff position for the right candidate with a van and mobile phone provided. Please note some of our work entails DBS checks being applied.

Proficient computer knowledge is an essential part of the job, as successful candidates will be using PDA’s as part of their everyday duties.

Salary is £18,200 to 22,500
