Who is this course Aimed at?

Our nationally recognised accredited ladders and steps training for users course would be suitable for operatives who are involved in use of ladders and step ladders and work of short duration. Typically this would include Office staff, maintenance operatives and fitters, systems fitters, electricians and installation workers.

What will I gain from taking this course?

This ladder training course gives an appreciation of the hazards, and measures required to control the risks associated with the use of ladders and steps ladders.

Delegates will be competent to assess & determine when its appropriate to use a ladder or step ladder, Correctly locate and safely use them and safely use the equipment. They will have an understanding of: What they need to know about law & standards relating to ladders & step ladders, Hazards in the use of the equipment and storage & handling.

What tests will I undertake?
Lecture, theory assessment, practical training & assessments. The assessments are a series of multiple choice questions, ladder & step fault finding, also Carrying and positioning ladders & step ladders.

What will I need to bring on this course?
Protective footwear & suitable clothing for the practical session.

Do I need any previous experience?
A working knowledge of ladders & Steps would be an advantage but is not essential. All delegates MUST be physically fit and able to carry out any practical during the service.

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes, a certificate & photocard ID will be issued to successful delegates who complete the theory and practical assessment sessions. This will last for 5 years.

How long does the course last?
½ Day (4 hours)

How many delegates can be trained in 1 session?
Maximum of 12 delegates
