All manufacturers have to produce access equipment that conforms to these standards, and it is our duty to inform our customers of these standards in order to allow you to make an informed decision when making a purchase.

Our aluminium extension ladders are classified as follows:

Industrial BS2037 class 1 rating This standard applies to extension ladders being used in an industrial environment; these are high quality products, designed for heavy and regular loading. Duty Rating - 130kg and Maximum Permissible load is 175kg

Trade BSEN131 ratingThis is the european standard, which covers the products being used in a trade environment; these products are designed for regular light trade work. Maximum Loading 150kg

DIY Domestic BS2037 class 3 rating This standard applies to products being used in and around the home; these products are designed for infrequent use. Duty Rating - 95kg and Maximum Permissible Loading is 125kg
