celebrated 25 years of carrying out on-site Ladder & Access Equipment
Inspections nationwide, and we are looking for a reliable & enthusiastic
person to join our Inspection team.
Important note: Applicants must live within 10 miles of Brierfield, Lancashire
We are seeking an Access Equipment Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent
opportunity for someone eager to embark on a new career, with no prior experience
required. We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in our industry.

Job Description:
- Travelling to customer’s sites nationwide to carry out detailed inspections
of their access equipment. This will involve walking around the site to locate the
assets, undertaking an inspection to ensure they are safe, and documenting your
findings in our PDA system. - Carrying out access equipment repairs where necessary.
- Updating all the relevant paperwork, findings and documents for our office staff.
- Liaising with contacts on site and advising them on the correct equipment to use.
Additional information:
- Work will be carried out both indoors & outdoors.
- The applicant must be confident in working at a height (up to 25m).
- Initially throughout your training period, you would be accompanied by a senior
inspector. When your training period has ended, you would work unaccompanied. - Frequent overnight stays will be required: approximately 40 per year. All
accommodation arrangements and meals will be at Browns Ladders’ expense.
The ideal candidate will be safety-minded, possess a full driving licence, and
demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Comprehensive training will be provided, including completion of training courses.
However, proficiency with hand tools is highly desirable.
This is a permanent position with a company vehicle and mobile phone provided for
the right candidate. Please note that this role will require DBS checks.
